A Dream

I waited for a dream to remember,

instead a nightmare arrived;

vividly, in full color and 3-D.

There was smoke and fire and tiny little spaces,

no control, unable to move,

and the main character was me.

I could not speak, to ask for help,

I could not yell to warn others,

I was stuck in the middle of a catastrophe.

What is it deep down that stirs up these scenes?

I am so glad they are few and far between.

Trying to write it down has been a difficulty.

Let’s move on.
