In trepidation I hit the yes I will commit button.
Yes, 28 days of my life I will give.
I will surrender to the pen
or pencil
or chalk
or key board
Or ??????? find new ways to write
poems
with eyeliner and/or lipstick
with frosting or chocolate syrup ( oh yum)
whatever.
I will write!
I promise.
I know I can do this.
Will I?
The first week I know I can do,
the second may need a little push,
the third will be the hardest….
too many shiny objects.
The fourth will be the easiest
if I can get there
it will become habit
a breeze
a joy
a need.
Yes, I promise and I always do my best to try to keep my word.
