Today was a beautiful gorgeous spring day and the rest of the week is supposed to be more of the same. Things are starting to dry out a little, though I still had my rubber boots on while wandering around the yard. They say we Pacific North Westerners squint a lot because we don’t see the sun enough. I think that is true because today it was almost blinding.
I took some pictures for the upcoming A to Z Challenge for April and came across these “long past their prime” mushrooms. It reminded me of us. Even in their raggedy appearance with dried out edges and wrinkles and brown spots, they were beautiful .
I totally agree, about the mushrooms. We haven’t come that far … the last snow vanished the day before yesterday.
We had very little snow this winter, and I am not going to complain, just enjoy. I am sure it will return another year.
